FAQ

What is Hemp?

Hemp is a nutrient-dense plant that’s used across the globe as food, fiber, supplements and medicine. Hemp stalk and seeds contain terpenes, flavonoids, vitamins, chlorophyll and amino acids and its flowers contain phytocannabinoids like CBD.

What’s a Terpene?

Terpenes are the main class of aromatic compounds found in hemp and many other plants. They are the molecules that are responsible for the scent, flavor and even the effect on the human body. We’ve added two botanically derived terpenes: Pinene (pine scent and anti-inflammatory properties, promotes alertness and memory retention) and Limonene (citrus scent and mood enhancer, stress reliever, anti-depressant properties).

What’s a Cannabinoid?

In short, cannabinoids promote overall mental and physical wellness by moderating the communication between the cells of our bodies. There are two types of cannabinoids: phytocannabinoids, which are derived from cannabis and hemp and endocannabinoids, which our body creates naturally.

What’s are Phytocannabinoids?

Phytocannabinoids are hemp-derived cannabinoids that are found in the hemp plant. Hemp actually contains over 100 types of phytocannabinoids including, CBD, CBN, THC and tons more. These phytocannabinoids work naturally with the body’s endocannabinoid system to help regulate a variety of processes like appetite, sleep, mood and immunity. Endocannabinoid receptors throughout the brain and body work with phytocannabinoids to help support homeostasis, the body’s natural state of balance.

What is the Endocannabinoid System?

The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) is the the homeostatic regulatory system of the body. The ECS is found in all mammals and affects every physiological process like perceiving pain, appetite and regulating mood levels and memory. It is considered one of the most important physiologic systems involved in establishing and maintaining health. Just remember, the Endocannabinoid System is the bridge between the body and mind.

What is CBD?

CBD, otherwise known as Cannabidiol, is one of the most well-known phytocannabinoids found in the hemp plant. CBD is known to support a happy mood, balance and wellness.

Is it Legal?

Thanks to the 2018 Farm Bill, CBD is fully legal in all 50 states. The bill clarified the definition of hemp and legally separated hemp from marijuana, legalizing hemp and hemp extract. The Farm Bill established that plants “with less than 0.3 percent concentration of psychoactive THC" are federally legal.

How Is Hemp Different Than Marijuana?

Hemp and Marijuana are two different species of the same plant family (Cannabis). The main difference is that Hemp contains less than 0.3% THC and won’t get you high.

How much should I take?

Every body is different, and there’s no standard use that works across the board. If you’re new to CBD, start with a half a dropper and work up to a full dropper a few days into regular use. Some feel the effects within minutes, some take days of regular use. Take time to check in with yourself and see how it’s making yew feel.

Why Full Spectrum?

Because it contains the complete range of cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids and fatty acids found in the plant. Compared to other extracts, full-spectrum contains everything the plant contains and maintains the integrity of the whole plant. We think that’s cool, and probably more effective.
